Aim of Research: Standardization of the carbon ion radiotherapy for non-small cell lung cancer

The aim of our study is to establish the standard treatment technique of carbon ion radiotherapy in patients with non-small cell lung cancer. We also develop the carbon ion radiotherapy combined with immunotherapy targeting the NKT cell immune system. Establishment of this new therapy with relatively minimal-invasive and few adverse events may improve the therapeutic outcomes and then contribute to the health and social welfare. We also foster young researches through an on-the-job training system in the clinical research field and promote their capability of carrying out the translational research with GCP compliance.
